Gdansk
Gdańsk is often referred
to as one of the most colourful cities in Poland. Together with the
two other cities- Sopot and Gdynia, Gdańsk is called Tricity.
Gdańsk is a 1000 years
old Baltic town with many places of interest, famous museums etc. The city is situated
between the forests of the Tricity National Park and the sandy
beaches of the
Gdansk Bay. All together
gives a superb impression. Sopot, a spa town ,is famous for its surprising
architecture, groups of tourists and artists who visit the city each summer.
Sopot is also known for the longest peer in Europe called Molo.
Gdynia is a young harbor town
with plenty of shopping centers, hotels, pubs and night clubs. The town was
founded in 1926 as the first Polish port. The unique location of Gdynia gives you
something special: superb city tours,a walk on a promenade along the sea coast
and lots of yacht clubs.
Gdańsk offers a lot to
people who are interested in culture: One
can choose not only from a lot of
theatres and cinemas but also visit the Baltic Sea Philharmonic and the
National Baltic Opera.
Sightseeing is a sheer pleasure not only for those interested in
architecture, history and music. Pleasant pubs, shops and numerous cozy
restaurants(with regional and international cuisine)serving delicious beer and
wine are just some of the surprising things that Gdanskhas in store for
visitors.
